We're in New Zealand!

Although there was a bit of a hassle to get our tent through the border, the border security had no problems letting us in, which means we are now in Auckland! And we are thus slowly changing into Kiwis. As we've only been here for a bit over a day, we don't have a lot to report on. The weather is so-so, but the cool breeze is much better than the sticky warmth of Hong Kong, so we really can't complain. Yesterday we slept and did nothing, and today we did a bit of looking around, but nothing spectacular or worth reporting on. So, I thought you might be more interested in how Hong Kong went down in the end.

I think three things striked me (Myrjam) the most: (1) Hong Kong is way more beautiful and active by night, (2) the contrast between the modern and the traditional side of the city and (3) Hong Kong isn't all about tall buildings, it has some nice nature as well. Look at some pretty pictures, to see my point.

Cute animals!

Totally unrelated to the above, I wanted to end with pictures of cute animals, because they are so darn cute. We went to what they call the Goldfish Street with tons of animal shops, row after row. We felt sorry for the poor fish that were all pressed together, but the dogs and cats elicited tons of awww's and oooh's. So, feel free to awe along!
